December 2018-April 2019
I haven't blogged since November. There has been So. Many. Things. going on that I legit don't even know where to start. I'll probably forget a bunch of things, but here we go.December 2018- We went home for Christmas for a little while to see family.January 2019- We got new couches. I started my edTPA.February 2019- I continued my edTPA and my brother got married (YAY!). I took some kids to the County level Science Fair.March 2019- I continued my edTPA. I got Lasik. I took some kids to the State level Science Fair.April 2019- I submitted my edTPA. Derek got/started an amazing new job. I turned 27 and a week later a lady totaled Jose (my green Kia Soul)- and here we are. We've been dealing with insurance junk and I've been trying to figure out what kind of car I want and it's REALLY hard because I have to think about myself and what I want and I just can't do that. I've had an ugly rental for a week and we're getting more money than I expected for my car, but I still just can't pick. We even spent all day at Carmax just so I could sit in all the cars I had listed on my spreadsheet to help me choose. Had 2 mental breakdowns and eventually left with no more of an idea than when we came.I AM happy to announce that I submitted my edTPA, though. So, my teacher certification program thing is almost over. Next month is the last meeting and I find out on May 16th if I passed or not.I think I am most relieved about edTPA being done. I'll do a huge in depth post about it later, but it was honestly the worst, most difficult thing I've ever done. Ever. Maybe because I was working full time at the same time- but who knows. I just know it sucked and now it's over, but I don't actually feel like it's over for some reason??? The whole process was full of so many revisions and redo's and blahblah that it feels like I can't possibly be done now, because I haven't revised 7350982650265 times- only about 9 times.Changing topics, here's a picture of me and D at my teacher friends wedding the day before my birthday! Congrats to the happy couple. Marriage is fun. Welcome to the party :))We have some huge things happening this summer including a super fun vaca to Cali (CAN'T WAIT!!!) and some other things I can't write about yet, but will share when I can.Okay! Update done. Since I want to make blogging my full time job in the next 2 years (lofty goals, anyone??) you can expect to hear a lot more from me now that edTPA isn't taking over my life anymore. ;) PREPARE YOURSELVES. Also. SUMMER IS COMING. And I cannot wait. Cannot. Can't. Won't. (have to. :( ) But only 5 weeks of school left weeeeeeeee!Okay byeeeeee!JT
