Updates!
Hello Again! We are really making some progress with the house. Last weekend we painted the spare room and then decorated it. It is now guest-friendly/blue-grey and will hopefully not induce migraines like the fluorescent yellow and white stripes it was before. We have unpacked all the boxes and have worked really hard on getting everything in some kind of a place. I fixed all the doors so they all latch now. Derek replaced our shower head. We've been getting into a routine as well. I've been coming home every day for lunch to let the girls out to potty again. We are also getting in to the swing of things with our jobs, and each week we get more and more responsibilities handed to us. Things are finally going our way.I've been learning some things that I guess just didn't occur to me before D and I got married and started living together on our own. Two of the hardest things I've had to realize lately are:I literally cannot decide what to make for dinner. and.I cannot decide what to wear every day.Obviously these are personal problems (lol I have thousands of those), but MAN. WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR ME TO MAKE A DECISION.We have also learned that time is a valuable commodity and we just don't have as much of it anymore. Today I chose to have a yoga session and write this blog (this was all around my loads of laundry and Derek cooking dinner). It's pretty difficult being away from the girls from 8:20am-6:20pm. Luckily Derek gets home about an hour before I do, so they aren't alone for too long, and with me coming home for lunch they don't have to wait too long to pee. My goal is still to work from home, whether that be with my current company, or starting my own business. Then I can be with them all day and I will have WAYYY more time to do things. :)) We still have a lot of things we want to do to this house, too. We are going to treat it as a "long-term" flip. I want to be out of it in 2 years. We've fixed the spare room. Next we have the dining room, the floors in the living room, the whole kitchen, then all 3 bathrooms. We might paint our room too, just for good measure, and maybe re-face the fireplace. I'm excited. I find that sort of thing really fun and rewarding. Derek really enjoyed painting our spare room too. I think he likes to see drastic changes like that. The girls are settling in okay. They really miss their yard, and we aren't able to walk them nearly as much as I would like to so that sucks. I am still playing around with the idea of uploading some more videos to my YouTube channel. Maybe one day. haha I'll also have some more structured blogs here soon. I've been making lists of things I want to write about. One of the things I want to write about is my list of lists ;). We are also getting excited because our friend Josh is coming to stay during his spring break next week, and at the end of the week we are all going to Savannah for St. Patricks Day to hang out with a bunch more friends!! Wee! My 25th birthday is next month, and I am really trying not to think about it. It just reminds me how fast life is slipping by and how little I feel I've accomplished. *depressing* Oh well, it is time for bed! I have another busy day tomorrow, and because it is the night of the weekly webinar, I'll be working until about 9:15pm.Let me know if you want to read about anything specific, or have any good/fast/easy/healthy recipes, or have any tips on how to dress quickly and effortlessly for an office environment setting :)WOOO ADULTING!!! Love, Jess
