Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year, Friends!Derek and I are probably the lamest people on earth and stayed in watching tv last night (New Years Eve.) We did manage to create our list of 2018 Intentions/Goals though, and I could NOT be more excited about this coming year. I really feel like we are in the groove of things now, and this will be a year for exponential growth, not just surviving/trying to figure out what we are doing.I wanted to recap our 2017 here, so I can look back on it when I am old and wrinkly and cannot remember squat.2017 At a Glance:January- Bought our first house and each started our new jobs in Georgia.February- Moved in to said house.March- Bought a Challenger, went to Savannah, Ga for St. Patti's Day.April- I turned 25!May- We took a trip to the Ga Aquarium, sold the Challenger and bought a Jeep Wrangler.June- Chilled at home all month.July- Derek turned 24, we went hiking at Tallulah Gorge State Park, and I went to the beach for Kendall's bachelorette party.August- The solar eclipse!September- We went to the lake with friends, giant hurricane hit, I accepted and started my job at Mill Creek High School and quit my job at Medical Management Institute, we went home for Knox's 1st bday party.October- Kendall and Jamie's wedding in Jacksonville, FL, and our 1 year wedding anniversary!November- I started my business, Graphic Enticement. Derek got his blue belt in Jujitsu, and got mostly certified as a scuba diver (will complete in March 2018).December- Got my first client, and we celebrated our 2nd Christmas with our very first Christmas tree in our first home! We sold the Jeep and bought a Subaru WRX STI. It snowed! We went home for Christmas, I dyed my hair red, and we created our 2018 goals list. Oh, and I passed both sections of my Biology GACE teaching certification test. :)Whew, quite a year!We are super excited to start 2018, and I am more motivated than ever to make our dreams come true. I hope you all had a great holiday season, and wish you the best of luck in 2018! Stay tuned for our updates as we mark things off our list!Lots of love,Jess
