My Youtube Channel

Happy Saturday! Here's a quick catch up from the past few weeks!I'm going to start a series on either Youtube or IGTV about each of the jobs I've had throughout my life. I filmed a lot of footage a few weeks ago, but I ended up hating all of it, so I'm not going to use it. I'm going to take a little more time to really plan out what information I want each video to have before trying to film again. I really think it will help people to know more about a job or career path before diving into it themselves. I also decided I need to work on my editing skills, because I suck at that haha. It takes me FOREVER to edit a video. I find it so much easier to write a blog post than to film and edit a video. In other news, I'm working on my next huge assignment for my teacher certification program. I had to video myself teaching the 4 lessons I wrote for my last assignment and include lots of commentary and time stamp evidence of certain things I had to do. It's been really interesting; I've been hearing about multiple others who are not only leaving the program, but leaving the teaching profession in general. Makes me wonder what those people are leaving to go do instead and what finally prompted them to leave.Derek and I went to a wedding for a few of our close friends in Charlotte last weekend and had an amazing time. (The featured picture for this post is us at the wedding.) The ceremony was beautiful, the bride was stunning, and getting to see all our friends from college again was so much fun! It sucks living so far away from everyone but I really love when we all get together again for events like weddings or whatever. It was also fun because this is the 3rd couple of our friend group to get married in October. We were the first, then Jamie and Kendall, and now Devon and Amanda. Our 2 year anniversary is coming up on Monday. We are excited about going home for Thanksgiving and Christmas soon, too. It's crazy how fast this year has gone. I really can't believe its almost 2019. Anyway, here's a picture of the girls from when we picked them up from being boarded while we were gone last weekend. They both got baths and cute little bandanas :) I cannot get over how SOFT and FLUFFY they both are now.Love,Jess
